Sculptors with the ability to get in an app today may be very glad they did! Here are 2 call for artists that have entry deadlines of today, including an artist pool with lots of future sculpture commission possibilities
2018 Farm/Art DTour Call for Artists
Sauk County, Wisconsin
Summary: The Farm/Art DTour is a 50-mile self-guided tour through the beautiful working lands of Sauk County, Wisconsin punctuated by Art Works (large-scale temporary art installations), Pasture Performances, PassWords (roadside poetry) Field Notes (interpretive signage), and more. The DTour is part of Fermentation Fest – A Live Culture Convergence, 10 days of classes, tastings, and art events celebrating live culture – in all its forms.
Budget: Wormfarm will fund projects at two levels- $5000 and $2500. Six to eight total projects will be selected from a combination of funding levels. Please indicate on your application which funding level you are applying for. An itemized budget will not be required for phase one.

Special Notes:
Wormfarm will commission 6-8 original Art Works to be installed along the DTour route. The work will be on public view from October 5-14, 2018. We are seeking artists (individuals or teams) who are interested in creating site-responsive work and engaging with agricultural landscape, the farmers, landowners, and surrounding communities. This is an opportunity to contribute to a unique and exciting project with a growing reputation for its innovative and effective approach to “creative
placemaking.”
We seek to curate a diverse group of artists for projects on the edge of Wisconsin’s Driftless Region. Artists are responsible for both installation and de-installation of their work and will have about 2 weeks to install and 1 week after to de-install. Artists retain ownership of the work after the DTour.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Request for Qualifications for Artist Pool (multiple projects)
San Francisco, California
Summary:
The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is issuing Requests for Qualifications for artists for art projects in stations that are being upgraded. Five projects are currently selecting artists:
- Market Street Canopy Project
- Lake Merritt Plaza/Transit Operations Facility (TOF)
- Walnut Creek Station Access Improvements
- Dublin/Pleasanton Station – Iron Horse Trail Access Enhancement
- Concord Station Modernization
Artist may also apply to be in a pool for future projects seeking an artist as a design team member for station modernization projects.
Applicants will indicate their interest in being considered for any of these projects, or for the artist pool only.
Artists may submit to be considered for one or more of the five available projects, but will not receive a commission for more than one project (except as noted for the Market Street Canopy Project).
All artists will remain in a pool for up to three years, which will be used in the selection of artists for future projects, specifically when an artist is desired as design team member.
