| 3 Stolen Ancient Sculpture Artifacts on Display
Lebanon’s National Museum in Beirut proudly put on display 3 ancient artifacts that had been stolen decades earlier. The sculptures arrived from the United States in January.
They include a bull’s head which is estimated to have been carved from marble about 360 BC.
The Manhattan District Attorney ordered the treasures be returned to their homeland after having been confiscated from private collectors in New York.
The artifacts were taken during Lebanese 1975-90 civil war. Their current value is listed as more than $5 million USD
