If your sculpture is sold, the Mayor’s Art Council keeps a 25% commission plus $165 to cover a variety of costs.

96 sculptures have been sold over the course of the past 11 years.

Budget: Artists whose sculptures are selected are given a $500 stipend.

Deadline: 2/1/16

How to apply: via CaFé

Eligibility Requirements: none provided

Special Notes: The unveiling of the artwork happens during Gillette’s Annual Donkey Creek Festival in June.

The Avenues of Art program is a public project; all proposed artworks are screened to ensure durability and artistic merit prior to acceptance. Fragile (e.g. limestone), dangerous, inappropriate artwork…will not be accepted. Artwork will be displayed outdoors. There are many spaces available for the rotating display, so you may enter up to two pieces each year.
