Keep Scottsdale Beautiful Streetscape Public Art Project
Scottsdale, Arizona
Summary: Scottsdale Public Art is accepting qualifications from artists for a public art opportunity at the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd and the Greenway/Hayden Loop in Scottsdale. This beautification project, spearheaded by Keep Scottsdale Beautiful in partnership with Scottsdale Public Art, Central Arizona Project, The Bureau of Reclamation and the City of Scottsdale, will have a significant impact on the quality of life for locals and visitors for generations to come

Special Notes: The intersection is adjacent to the Central Arizona Project Canal, The Tournament Players Club of Scottsdale, and a City of Scottsdale Water Resources facility. The project artist will be asked to work with a team of students from a collegiate design program to create a plan for enhancements for the intersection. Enhancements could include a mural, landscaping, and other streetscape improvements. The student team will be selected as part of a contest for teams to join the artist as part of the design team for the project. The project artist will be one of the contest judges.

Public Riverfront Sculpture
Wausau, Wisconsin
Summary: The RFP seeks proposals from artists for the design and creation of a public sculpture to be located along Wausau’s downtown riverfront.
Budget: $150,000

Eligibility Requirements: Any artists age 18 and older may apply individually or as part of a team. Local artists are encouraged to apply, but no preference will be given to residency, nor to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, military status, sexual orientation, marital status, or physical or mental disability.
Special Notes: Artists shall prepare a concept to be reviewed by the city’s Arts Commission. The theme is open to anything relating to Wausau’s early history, and/or its location along the Wisconsin River

Inaugural Public Art Competition
Westlake, Texas
Summary: The Town of Westlake has determined that a Public Art Competition process will best facilitate the pursuit of exemplary Public Art, that can truly influence the future form of our Town and thereby make Westlake a place that is distinguished by the merger of place and art.
Westlake seeks artwork for this location that will ENGAGE and INSPIRE residents, visitors and employees of all ages. In short, an artistic installation that becomes an attraction known for its dynamic beauty and significance.

BEYOND SIMS OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS
New York, New York
Summary: The City of New York seeks artists interested in creating a public monument to be installed at the site of the recently removed J. Marion Sims statue.
Building on recommendations of the Mayoral Advisory Commission on City Art, Monuments, and Markers and years of community activism, the statue of J. Marion Sims was removed from its location in Central Park in April of 2018. In addition to the relocation of the existing statue, the City has committed to working with local stakeholders to commission a new artwork for the site that moves beyond Sims’ legacy of medical experimentation and reinterprets the site where his sculpture formerly stood.

Eligibility Requirements: Professional visual artists or artist teams, working in any and all media, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and who are at least 18 years of age, are eligible to apply.
Special Notes: This is Phase 1 of a 2 Phase call for artists. As part of Phase One, the City invites artists or artist teams to submit examples of past work for the Committee to review.

Art Around Town
Carbondale, Colorado
Summary: “Art Around Town” is one of the premier outdoor sculpture shows in Colorado. Artist’s work will be showcased prominently for one year along the streets of Carbondale. Sculptures are also actively marketed through year-long advertising and are featured on our Creative District maps.
The Town of Carbondale, CO, located in the central Rockies, has recently been recognized as a Creative Art District in Colorado. Outside Magazine called Carbondale one of “the Best Places to Live”.
Budget: A $900 honorarium is awarded to the selected artists and one sculpture will be awarded a $1,000 “Best in Show”.

2019 Underwater Museum of Art
Santa Rosa Beach, Florida
Summary: The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) www.culturalartsalliance.com in partnership with the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA) www.waltonreefs.org join two of South Walton’s most cherished resources, the arts and the Gulf of Mexico, with the Underwater Museum of Art (UMA), the first and only permanent underwater sculpture museum in the United States. Artists are invited to submit proposals for the second art installation to be deployed Summer 2019. The UMA is located off the coast of Northwest Florida, specifically .7 miles off the coast of Grayton Beach State Park in South Walton, Florida.
Budget: Nine artists will be commissioned to develop design proposals and create a 3D piece of original artwork to be permanently installed in the Underwater Museum of Art. Each artist will receive a $5,500 stipend inclusive of design fees, materials, labor, fabrication, construction, packing materials, shipping, and transportation

Walk of Art
Traverse City, Michigan
Summary: Art Rapids! is seeking Artist applications for original sculptures of
Budget: Upon successful installation, Art Rapids will pay the Artist a stipend of $600.

Sculpture Evergreen Walk 2019-2020
Evergreen, Colorado
Summary: Sculpture Evergreen has established a program of art acquisition that will beautify public buildings and open spaces in Evergeen, CO, located in the foothills west of Denver. Our mission is to encourage the expression and appreciation of art through education and other public activities and programs. A critical component of Sculpture Evergreen’s mission is the annual Sculpture Walk. This is a juried exhibition of up to 16 large sculptures suitable for OUTDOOR DISPLAY. These will be on display for one year, until June, 2020, with the possibility of a few being held over for an additional year (with artist’s permission
Budget: A stipend of $700 will be awarded for each accepted sculpture. There is a Juried Award of $1000, and also an award for People’s Choice voted upon by the public.

Eligibility Requirements: Artists must be present for the installation. Overnight accommodations will be provided by Sculpture Evergreen for those artists traveling more than 50 miles from Evergreen.
Special Notes: There is a $30 entry fee for this art on loan program. There is a chance your sculpture will be purchased outright by one of the area’s many art patrons. Sculpture Evergreen receives a 25% commission on any sales occurring during the time the sculpture is included in the Walk. Since the inception of this competition, 35 pieces have been purchased for inclusion in Sculpture Evergreen’s permanent collection and many more have been purchased by individuals.

The Body Language
Venice, Italy
Summary:
THE BODY LANGUAGE analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness.
The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.
The exhibition will be presented during the period of Venice Carnival 2019 and we invite artists to be inspired by the magical power of Venetian costumes, exploring the connection between desires, needs, fears through rituals that brings human kind to change, to transform and to evolve their inner world.
