Cleveland Carves for Cause

Cleveland’s Got GUTS
The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) has set up pumpkin carving competitions known as GUTS in various chapters across the country.
Today, Oct 24, 2015 marks the first time the event will be held in Cleveland.
Get your pumpkins ready and carve for a cause. Proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish.
The event begins at 3:30 at ABC the Tavern Uptown (next to MOCA Cleveland). Carvers will have 90 minutes to carve their pumpkins (you must bring your own and you can–and should–gut it ahead of time.)
“GUTS was initially piloted by AIGA Charlotte and has been adapted by AIGA chapters throughout the country,” explains AIGA Cleveland President Jamie Winebrenner. “We’re excited to bring the event to Cleveland creatives and benefit our local Make-A-Wish chapter. Design for Good events are important for our community. Not only do they allow us to showcase our talented members but they also allow us to have a greater social impact.”
There will be prizes for Individual and Team winners as well as a People’s Choice award, announced at 6:30pm.
Pumpkins will be available for purchase in a silent auction.
This is a great, family-friendly event that combines carving and creativity with a great cause.
