Colorado Sculptors: Request for Qualifications

Original Art Sought for RiNo Park

RiNo park colorado sculpture opportunitySummary: The Denver Arts & Venues Public Art Program seeks to commission an original work of art for the River North (RiNo) Park to be integrated into the construction of one of the Play areas of the park.

The latent potential of the River as an urban/natural resource, and the enthusiasm and creative energies of the River North neighborhood present exciting possibilities for designing a park that is truly of the 21st century.
The park concept seeks to preserve elements of RiNo’s industrial past by re-purposing the existing buildings on the site and selectively deconstructing elements of both buildings to establish a series of flexible and creative gathering spaces for the community. The character of the river and natural processes are woven through the park to create spaces that can accommodate a variety of uses.
