Keeping it Cool and Real in Fine Art Glass Sculpture
“The Glass Sculptor” Jack storms works with lead and optical crystal to create these colorful masterpieces.
While 99% of glass art is worked hot, such as glass blowing or fusing, these sculptures are created cold. That’s a lot of grinding and polishing!
Color is an important element in these pieces, and so is Fibinachi’s ratio. This is how Storms bridges the intense creation using a series of straight lines with the natural world–which has no straight lines.
This video shows several examples of his work as he explains the process in more detail.
