Yolo Branch Library
Woodland, California
Summary: The County of Yolo, in an effort to further their community vision to create a more visually pleasing environment, is seeking permanent work(s) of public art to be integrated into Yolo Branch Library in Yolo, CA.
The art work selected for the project shall:
- Draw inspiration and context from the place and people of the rural communities of Yolo, Dunnigan and Zamora, which includes acknowledging the region’s agricultural heritage;
- Be reflective of the library’s role as a community gathering place and hub of civic engagement and education;
- Inspire discovery and the creation of new memories among a diverse and multi- generational community;
- Instill community values of respect and appreciation for the indigenous people called the Patwin and their past and continued cultural contribution and preservation of the region’s natural resources;
- Consider the design and architecture of the site.
Budget: $25,600

Meadowbrook Park Public Art Project
Prairie Village, Kansas
Summary: An artist or artist team is sought to design, fabricate, and install a site-specific artwork or artworks in Meadowbrook Park in Prairie Village, Kansas, a northeast Johnson County suburb that is part of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. The Meadowbrook Park public art project will be the first commissioned public artwork of the new Public Art Program.
Budget: $95,000.
Up to three (3) finalists will be selected to create concept proposals for the artwork opportunity. Finalists will be paid a stipend of $1000 to participate in the concept proposal process, which will include touring Meadowbrook Park, exploring optimal siting, and meeting the ASC and community members prior to developing a proposal. Artists living more than 100 miles from Meadowbrook Park will be paid an additional amount up to $500 for travel and lodging expenses for the site visit.

Civic Art – Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center
Santa Clarita, California
Summary: The City of Santa Clarita is seeking an artwork to be permanently located at a Metrolink Station and Bus Transfer Station, now under construction at the Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center.
The Station is near the site of a significant event in California history: the ‘wedding of the rails’ in 1876. Previously accessible only by ship and wagon, Los Angeles was an isolated outpost until the Southern Pacific and Central Pacific railroad tracks were joined together with a golden spike just east of the Vista Canyon Multi-Modal Center site.
The artwork (representative or conceptual) will be inspired by the themes relating to this event. Three historic plaques will be relocated to the station within sight of the artwork. One is a State Historic Landmark, the second memorializes the Chinese rail workers, and the third marks the site of the golden spike ceremony. Plaques are not the responsibility of the artist.

City Artist Corps Grants
New York, New York
Summary: City Artist Corps Grants are intended to support NYC-based working artists who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
Budget: The program will distribute one-time $5,000 grants to over 3000 artists to help sustain their practice and engage the public across New York City’s five boroughs this summer beginning July.
Deadline: 2nd application cycle deadline: July 20th, 2021. 3rd App cycle opens July 27th, 2021

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be current residents of New York City (5 boroughs) and have maintained residency since January 2020. Applicants must be 21 years or older on or before June 8, 202.

AWWU – Ship Creek Trail
Anchorage, Alaska
Summary: In accordance with Municipal Code 7.40, the Municipality of Anchorage is announcing a call for qualified artists to create artwork for the Ship Creek Trail as part of the Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility, Ship Creek Water Treatment Facility construction in Anchorage, Alaska. The Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility has directed this public art project to the Ship Creek trail in order to better reach the public and connect the natural resource to its every day use and stewardship.
The art selection jury is seeking artwork that reflects the themes of environmental stewardship, sustainability, and showing that piped, clean water impacts all people regardless of race and economic disparity; connecting the mountains from which we get pristine water to the ocean we protect. Within the context of the themes outlined, there is a preference to see artwork that acknowledges indigenous values associated with use of the land and its stewardship. The jury is interested in seeing 2-Dimensional or 3-Dimensional artwork on the retaining wall structure, sculptural work in the landscaped area, or a combination of both options.
Budget: $80,000

Special Notes: The art selection jury has identified two locations suitable for the installation of artwork. Artwork can be proposed for either location, or a combination of both. If there is interest in submitting a proposal for both options, or a combination thereof, a separate proposal application must be submitted for each.
The jury would like to see proposals that are visible not only to trail users, but will also be visible to trains passing by on the Alaska Railroad train tracks, which are located approximately 100 feet south of the trail.

Toledo Glass City Convention Center Public Art Project
Toledo, Ohio
Summary: The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo’s Art in Public Places Program has partnered with the Lucas County Commissioner’s office to commission new public art for specific sites in the soon to be renovated Glass City Convention Center.
Budget: There are three sites that have been selected for public art. The budgets are as follows:
Ball Room: $130,000
Superior Street Façade: $190,000
Monroe Street Concourse: $55,000

Eligibility Requirements: The project is open to all artists in the United States of America, age 18 and over, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, military status, sexual orientation, marital status, or physical or mental disability. Artist teams are eligible to apply, including teams of artists from multiple disciplines.
Special Notes: The Design Review Board for this project will review all submissions and select up to three artists per site as finalists. The finalists will then be asked to develop a conceptual approach for artwork at the site and make a presentation of their proposal, including concept, materials, size, weight, details of maintenance guidelines, special equipment needs, and budget. The finalists will be compensated two thousand dollars ($2,000) for their participation in this stage of the selection.

RFQ for Public Art at Highland Bridge Development
St. Paul, Minnesota
Summary: The City of Saint Paul seeks qualified artists or artist teams for a public art commission for a new urban village development, called “Highland Bridge,” in Saint Paul, MN. The public art will help to embody and express values, visions, and goals of this new area, the former site of a Ford Motor Company factory.

Eligibility Requirements: Artists 18 years of age or older are invited to submit an individual or collaborative artist application. Artist must have a US mailing address for payment to be mailed to and must fill out a W-9.
Special Notes: Artist(s) are invited to submit portfolios of past work for consideration. The selected artwork should not be more than 11’ wide and no more than 15’ in height, with a depth of 4”. The artwork can be no heavier than 40 pounds per square foot (PSF).

NC State Wolfpack Art Wall Project
Raleigh, North Carolina
Summary: NC State University is seeking proposals from artists/teams to create a themed Wolfpack art installation for the newly completed Wellness and Recreation Center at Carmichael Gym, located in the Central Campus precinct.
The concept of the art installation of the Wolfpack Wall is to illustrate the attributes of the pack, that live, feed, and travel as a family group. The art installation should represent the strength, confidence, pride, courage, spirit, and passion of NC State. As visitors circulate around the open atrium, we anticipate an emotional moment, a feeling of being part of the pack.
Budget: $200,000 inclusive

Antioch Library Replacement

Summary: The Johnson County Public Art Commission, on behalf of the Johnson County (KS) Public Building Commission and Johnson County Library, is seeking Artists or Artist Teams to closely collaborate with the Architect and Contractor to develop innovative, original art for a new Library to replace the Antioch Branch Library.
