2020 Public Art Mora Park
Mountain View, CA
Summary: The City of Mountain View Visual Arts Committee (VAC) seeks to commission an artist, or an artist team, to create the design and commission for public artwork for Mora Park, a planned neighborhood park at the corner of Ortega Avenue and Mora Drive. Artists must provide a resumé, examples, and a final design proposal as part of their application.
Budget: The VAC is requesting proposals where the artwork, including all costs associated with production, installation, and permitting, totals $5,000, $10,000, or $20,000
Deadline: 1/8/20, 11:00 p.m. (PST)– only the first 120 applications will be accepted (whichever comes first).

Eligibility Requirements: The call is open to all professional artists/artist teams over the age of 18 residing in one of the following 11 San Francisco Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma.
Special Notes: The VAC is open to selecting multiple art installations and/or multiple artists. For example, the VAC may select two art installations from one artist and one art installation from another artist.

2020 Public Art Pyramid Park
Mountain View, CA
Summary: The City of Mountain View Visual Arts Committee (VAC) seeks to commission an artist, or an artist team, to create the design and commission for public artwork for Pyramid Park, a planned neighborhood park at the corner of Pyramid Way and Infinity Way. Artists must provide a resumé, examples, and a final design proposal as part of their application.
Budget: The VAC is requesting proposals where the artwork, including all costs associated with production, installation, and permitting, totals $10,000, $15,000, or $30,000.
Deadline: Applications will not be accepted after 11:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2020, and only the first 120 applications will be accepted (whichever comes first).

2020-2021 Boerne Art al Fresco Public Art Competition
Boerne, TX
Summary: The City of Boerne, Texas seeks ten (10) monumental/life-size outdoor sculptures for its 2020-2021 Art al Fresco Public Art Competition. The sculptures will be exhibited outdoors for 12 months throughout the city’s historic downtown (The Hill Country Mile), at the Boerne City Campus, and throughout Boerne’s Trail & Parks system.
Budget: Artist stipend is $1,500 per piece exhibited

Carroll Creek Park Public Art & Wayfinding Project RFQ
Frederick, MD
Summary: Downtown Frederick Partnership is seeking an artist/artist team to design, fabricate and install an artistic outdoor fencing/wayfinding installation for a site along Carroll Creek Park.
Budget: $27,000

Eligibility Requirements: All professional Artists or Artist Teams living within 80 miles of Frederick County are welcome to apply.
Special Notes: The art/ installation must incorporate the words “Carroll Creek Park” and consider the attached Wayfinding & Signage Program Construction Documentation Package (see Attachment A) in the design of the signage portion of the art/ installation. It is expected that art/installation be made of metal or a similarly durable material to withstand outdoor conditions. The art/installation must include lighting for nighttime visibility. The art/Installation must be anchored as to avoid damage to the masonry wall.
Because a similar artistic fencing/wayfinding project is envisioned in the future for the existing stone planter bed located on the northwest corner of Market Street and Carroll Creek Park, the design should lend itself to being modified for such application.
Lighting must also be incorporated into the design for the installation to be visible during evening hours. Electrical access is located within the planter, but electrical work will be required and will be the responsibility of the chosen artist/artist team.

ArtSS in the Open 2020
Sandy Springs, GA
Summary: This public sculpture competition was created to bring fine art to the parks and public spaces throughout the city of Sandy Springs, including the $229 million, 14-acre City Springs complex, which opened in August 2018. Nine sculptures will be prominently displayed around the four-acre City Green in April 2020. This is a temporary exhibit, with new installations placed each year.
Budget: $1,500 to each of nine selected artists

Sculpture Walk Peoria 2020
Peoria, IL
Summary: Sculpture Walk Peoria is currently accepting submissions for an outdoor sculpture exhibition in 2020.
Sculpture Walk Peoria is an annual, juried, outdoor exhibit offering local, regional, national, and international sculptors opportunities to showcase and sell their creations, while enhancing the cultural environment of Peoria and providing opportunities to educate the public. All sculptures are to be for sale. In its first 5 years, Sculpture Walk Peoria has sold 11 sculptures.
Budget: $2,000 honorarium per sculpture exhibited

There is no age restriction on the artwork, but sculpture must appear as new.

Yokna Sculpture Trail
Oxford , MS
Summary: The City of Oxford, The University of Mississippi and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council announce the 2020 prospectus of the outdoor sculpture program throughout the area of Oxford, Mississippi. The collaborative program, called the Yokna Sculpture Trail, provides between 15 and 20 large-scale sculptures throughout the local campus and community.
The program selects approximately half its exhibition annually which then rotates on a staggered two year exhibition schedule. The 2020 call for entries welcomes submissions from locally, regionally and nationally exhibiting artists. The sculptures selected for 2020 will be exhibited in four distinct locations throughout Oxford, MS from April 15, 2020 to March 1, 2022.
Budget: Each artist whose work is selected and installed for the duration of the contract will receive a stipend of $1,500 per sculpture

Summary: The Brookings Public Arts Commission, in partnership with the City of Brookings, SD, seeks an artist to design, fabricate and install 2D artwork in a public area of the shared use City/County building. The available installation space itself is 10′ wide x 6′ high, but the artist does not need to cover the entire square foot area. Detailed specifications will be provided once an artist is selected. The selected artist will be asked to create permanent artwork that honors the history, cultures, and current experience of Brookings County, SD residents.

Sculpture Evergreen 21st Annual Sculpture Walk 2020-2021
Evergreen, CO
Summary: Sculpture Evergreen has established a program of public art acquisition to beautify open spaces and public buildings in Evergreen, CO, in the foothills west of Denver. A critical component of Sculpture Evergreen’s mission is the annual Sculpture Walk. Initiated in 1999, this is a juried exhibition of up to 16 large sculptures suitable for OUTDOOR DISPLAY.
Budget: A stipend of $700 will be awarded for each accepted sculpture.

Summary: The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County is seeking sculptures and temporary installations for its annual Works in Progress IV. Dr. Paul Robeson Statue
New Brunswick
Summary: The not-for-profit organization, New Brunswick Public Sculpture, seeks qualifications from artists, art groups, artisans and/or designers to develop a life size sculpture to celebrate the life and legacy of this historical figure.
A realistic, life size statue of Dr. Paul Robeson will be dressed in casual clothing from his era and seated, on a conventional bench, with book on lap, is to be inviting so that on lookers feel welcome to have a seat on either side of the statue. This statue will be in close proximity to the Paul Robeson School of the Arts, and will be utilized as an outdoor classroom for students from many of the surrounding New Brunswick, NJ schools. This area will be a plaza where performances and other activities will take place and the statue of Dr. Robeson being a focal point.

The Avenue Concept Call For Public Sculpture 2020
Providence, RI
Summary: The Avenue Concept invites submissions for its 2020 public sculpture exhibition held in Providence, Rhode Island. Artwork will be on view for up to one year, on one of the Avenue Concept’s prominently located sculpture pads, located throughout Downtown Providence.
This is not a request for a proposal of work. We are looking for contemporary sculpture that already exists, to lease for up to a year. Scale of work can vary from human scale (5’ to 8’) pieces to larger works being around 20 feet tall.

2020/2021 Brighton Eye 4 Art Sculpture-on-Loan Program
Brighton, CO
Summary: This Sculpture-on-Loan Project is part of the Art-on-Loan program coordinated by the City of Brighton Eye 4 Art (E4A) Committee and the Public Art Committee. The program is supported by the Brighton City Council since 2011. Through this program artists receive increased public exposure and the opportunity to sell their works. The community has embraced the “sense of place” and community pride that the program has provided for the people who live, work and visit the City of Brighton.
