Eagle River Wastewater Treatment Facility

Anchorage, Alaska

Summary: The art selection jury intends to commission two complementary installations totaling $107,000 to be permanently installed at two different locations near the exterior main entry to the Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU) Eagle River Wastewater Treatment Facility (ERWWTF).

Budget: $107,000 total; $82,000 Location 1, $25,000 location 2

Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center Public Art

Mountain View, California

Summary: The City of Mountain View Visual Arts Committee (VAC) seeks to commission an artist, or team of artists, to design and execute an original work of art(s) for the new aquatics center and/or the surrounding grounds.

The selection process will be a two-part process where the top 2-5 artists will be invited back to develop proposals with a semi-finalist Design Honorarium of $1,000 per artist. The VAC will then select the final artists for City Council consideration.

Budget: approximately $180,000 (for up to three art installations)

2021-2023 Pre-Qualified Artist Pool, Art in Public Places

Austin, Texas

Summary: City of Austin / Art in Public Places (AIPP) seeks artists and artist teams living in the United States and/or territories (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and American Samoa) for AIPP’s 2021-2023 Pre-Qualified Artist Pool. Project opportunities will be available with city departments such as Austin Parks and Recreation, Austin Public Library, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and more.

Budget: $30,000 -$500,000+

Deadline: Thursday, January 28, 2021, 5 PM CST

CARES Grants available for Artists and Organizations

Lafayette, Colorado

Summary: Lafayette announces $200,000 in grant funding for local artists and arts organizations.

The Lafayette Arts and Cultural Resources Department is now accepting online applications from arts related nonprofits and individual artists for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)

Budget: grants vary, most are in the $1000-$2,000 range.

Deadline: 11:59pm on Jan. 29, 2021.

Eligibility Requirements: Nonprofit 501c3 organizations must be based in Lafayette, and/or provide programming in Lafayette, and have been in operation for a minimum of two years prior to submission of an application. Individual artists must be at least 18 years old and have established residency in Lafayette and/or be active in Lafayette’s art and cultural scene for a minimum of two years prior to submission of an application.

Outposts Phase II

Bernalillo County, New Mexico

Summary: The Bernalillo County Arts Board solicits a call for artists to propose conceptual sketch ideas for outdoor sculpture to be located along highly visible avenues and boulevards within Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The entire scope of the project is to locate sculptures in each of the five Bernalillo County districts for a total of 25 sculptures by 25 artists. This call is for Phase II of the project for an additional five sculptures.

Budget: $25,000.00 per sculpture

Eligibility Requirements: Regional artists residing in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Texas are invited to propose conceptual mid-size sculptures

Special Notes: The sculptures should be approximately 15 feet in height with a 7-foot pedestrian clearance. Each sculpture needs to be attached to a metal pipe with a diameter of 6” that will be set into a cuff and base provided by Bernalillo County. Each art piece should have a structural lifetime of at least 25 years and be able to withstand the harsh conditions of the high altitude ultraviolet rays of the sun and high winds (sustained 35 miles an hour) in the spring.

Contract Collections Archivist – Summit County Public Art

Summit County, Utah

Summary: Summit County Public Art Advisory Board (“SCPAAB”) is seeking a service provider to provide a comprehensive and ongoing inventory of Summit County’s Public Art collection of 20 major works of art, including the Traveling Exhibit Fine Art Collection of approximately eighty (80) pieces of fine art housed in the County Courthouse.The goal of this project is to establish and maintain consistent and professional written and visual records of County-owned arts assets, and to facilitate interaction with the collection by visitors and the community on a digital platform.

Sculpture Walk Springfield

Springfield, Missouri

Summary: In April 2021, Sculpture Walk Springfield will reveal to the public its 6th annual exhibit. We hope to install 20 new sculptures. This will continue the process of creating a museum without walls with access to all in the heart of Springfield, Missouri. Each year, as our program grows, we hope to add more sculptures to our program. Sculpture Walk Springfield is a citizen driven and privately funded initiative.

Budget: Artists of selected sculptures will receive a $1,000 stipend.

Sculpture in the Square – Old Town

Fort Collins, Colorado

Summary: Old Town Square is nestled snuggly amongst historic buildings in Old Town Fort Collins and is home to weekly concerts in the summer and year-round festivals, shopping, and dining. It is our goal to expose the citizens of Fort Collins to quality art and artists, to compensate our artists, and to help promote their talents. 

Each piece of art submitted must be at least 4 feet tall and have a metal plate adhered to its base. Your metal plate will be welded to the metal plate on our plinth. Your plate must be able to fit on a 2′ x 2′ or 3′ x 3′ plinth.

Budget: Each artist will receive a $1000 honorarium and one artist will receive a $1000 People’s Choice Award.
