University of West Florida Lab Sciences Annex
Pensacola, FL
Summary: Through the state of Florida’s Art in State Buildings Program, the University of West Florida seeks proposals for existing or new public art to be installed permanently in or on the grounds of the Lab Sciences Annex currently under construction.
Budget: $100,000
Deadline: 8/16/19

Eligibility Requirements: The call is open to all professional artists working in any two or three-dimensional medium.
Special Notes: Artists may submit work currently available for purchase or proposals for site-specific commissions.
The committee is currently accepting proposals for both outdoor and indoor works of art.
Participating artists must have reached a certain level of expertise and recognition in their medium.

Western Colorado University: Vehicle Maintenance Garage
Gunnison, CO
Summary: Qualifications are requested from artists interested in creating a site-specific interior public artwork for Western Colorado University’s Vehicle Maintenance and Mountain Search and Rescue Garage in Gunnison, Colorado. The Art Selection Committee is looking to commission an artwork to be located on the floor of the reception area of the garage.
Budget: $22,000
Deadline: 8/18/19 (extended deadline)

Eligibility Requirements: All applicants must be residents of the state of Colorado
Special Notes: Artwork can be any material that is durable and does not impede movement or usage of the space. Mosaic or designed flooring in tile, terrazzo and concrete, etc. are all feasible options

Shade Structure
London, KY
Summary: Seeking a shade structure for a new performance park. Tentatively called “The Town Center Project”
Budget: $39,000
Deadline: 8/18/19

Eligibility Requirements: Would prefer someone within Kentucky, but all are welcome to submit.
Special Notes: Finished size should be no larger than 33×33 feet. Minimum height is 10 feet, Maximum height is 18 feet.

Liberty Square Rising
Miami-Dade County
Summary: Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and Miami-Dade County Department of Public Housing and Community Development, with partners Related Urban with Modis Architects request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to create artworks for Liberty Square, a nine-block area in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, which will be redeveloped to include new multifamily public housing, affordable and workforce housing, affordable home ownership opportunities, economic development and capital improvements.
Budget: $1.1 million
This budget will be split between four to six commissions.
WAYFINDING: $400,000
CENTRAL COMMUNITY PARK: $250,000
FREE-STANDING ARTWORKS: $250,000
ARTWORKS FOR INTERIOR SPACES: $150,000

Vermont Corridor Building Lobby Artwork
Los Angeles, CA
Summary: The LA County Department of Arts and Culture’s Civic Art Program (Arts and Culture) seeks artist(s) or artist team(s) to design an indoor two-dimensional artwork for the entrance lobby of the Vermont Corridor Building, a new facility for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS).
Budget: $125,000

South Suburban Parks and Recreation: Recreation Complex
Centennial, CO
Summary: The SSPAC requests proposals for permanent artwork to be placed in the interior lobby of South Suburban Park and Recreation District’s (SSPRD) future Recreation Complex that is anticipated to open December 2020.
The Recreation Complex will include a fieldhouse with two indoor synthetic turf fields and two gymnasiums, an ice arena with three sheets of ice, a restaurant, and the district administration offices with a board room that is available for event rental. The artwork will be installed in the main interior lobby of the building on the north wall across from the center point of control and all building visitors will walk past the artwork
Budget: $60,000

Eligibility Requirements: This project is open to all artists in Colorado and its seven surrounding states (Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, and Nebraska) who have the background, experience and reputation for completing such a project.
Special Notes: Original commissioned or artist-owned work, if appropriate, will be considered. The selected artwork may not be duplicated within 500 miles of the site.
