National Sculpture Society Celebration 2016

The National Sculpture Society awards numerous cash prizes to artists every year. Competitions are juried with awards typically being made during the conference. The next National Sculpture Society’s Sculpture Celebration Conference will be June 24-26, 2016 in New York City.

The grants and prizes vary in their requirements, deadlines, and award amount. Some are for young artists while others are specifically for artists with a mature body of work.

Animal Sculpture: the Marilyn Newmark Memorial Grant. Prize $5,000. The grant is for a mature body of work

Bas-relief Sculpture: the Dexter Jones Award. Prize $5,000. Note: this is restricted to artists 18-39 years of age (born between 1997 – 1976).

Figurative / Realistic Sculpture: the Alex J. Ettl Grant. Prize $5,000, is awarded annually to a figurative or realist sculptor. The grant is for a mature body of work

Other grants are available, and competitions for young sculptors 21-35 will be held during the conference.
