Oct Call for Artists Part 2

Following are 3 Call for Artists with October deadlines that arrived after our initial post. You can see the first post which as of this writing still has lots of active call for artists.
Public Art for the MAPS 4 Fairgrounds Coliseum
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Summary: This is a commission for a new work to create a work envisioned to tower above its surroundings and be an enduring landmark for visitors and residents alike, to be created by an artist/design team. Selected artist is responsible for all phases of the project: design, engineering, fabrication, delivery, installation
Budget: The total art award of $920,000 includes all costs for designing, creating, and installing the work
Deadline: 4pm 10/19/22
How to apply: BidSync (you will need to register–free–to submit your application if you are not already registered with BidSync)
Eligibility Requirements: eligible for artists 18 years old and older
Special Notes: The Will Rogers Trail, the most urban of all the trails in Oklahoma City’s 80+ mile-and-growing trail system, runs parallel to May Avenue. The new work is seen as a major landmark for the Trail as well as for the Coliseum and the Fairgrounds. It is not required to, but it is preferred that the work span the Arroyo. The work may incorporate a bridge spanning the Arroyo.

Mercy Housing and Homeless Prenatal Program
San Francisco, California
Summary: The artwork for the new Mercy Housing and Homeless Prenatal Program partnership will reflect the power of community and home. The artwork will work to empower the visitors, residents, and staff. It will bring hope, comfort, and connection to the internal and external community.
The artwork will integrate with and complement the thoughtful design. It will support the architectural story of embrace and comfort.
Budget: Location 1: Sculpture/Installation at Entry, $18,000; Location 2: Hanging Installation at Stairwell, $22,609.88. Note, there are also mural commissions available.
Deadline: 10/21/22

Eligibility Requirements: Local Bay Area preferred, not required

Art & Lived Experience: Housing Insecurity
Adams County, Colorado
Summary: Adams County, Colorado seeks to commission an artist with lived experience of housing insecurity to
1. Facilitate a community-engaged artmaking series with residents experiencing homelessness.
2. Create an interior artwork inspired by the program series to be displayed at the Adams County Government Center.
Budget: $25,000
Deadline: 10/23/22

Eligibility Requirements: Professional artists local to Colorado
Special Notes: The Selection Panel will review and rate RFQ applications and project-specific proposals to select an artist that best meets project requirements. The selection panel will then make a recommendation to the Parks, Open Space & Cultural Arts Department for final approval.
